“During the workshop David did a very good job and made the most of it considering the challenging weather conditions during the second half. Meeting with the group was difficult because of the short notice change of location and logistics. I had to cut short a visit to friends in Ottawa, which was a shame but got an extra day of shooting out of it as compensation. And David handled the extra night after the workshop which was a nice surprise. Very good leaders and well researched locations. The small group size is a major plus. I would not hesitate to recommend Nature’s Photo Adventures!”

“I finally have slowed down enough with family stuff to look at my pictures. I am thrilled!!!! Thanks for all your hard work on the recent Snowy Owl workshop. I really enjoyed the trip and definitely want to do more with Nature’s Photo Adventures. If you are planning the snowys up north for breeding and kayaking, I'm in :)   I hope you have recovered. You went way beyond the call, even being sick.”

“I recently took part in a Snowy Owl workshop with David Hemmings. This workshop was one of the best I have ever been part of! I would recommend Nature’s Photo Adventures highly. They provided excellent photographic instruction and I learned lots about shooting birds in flight.”

“Great opportunity for capturing images of magnificent and uncommon birds.  Organizers contribute to great group dynamics and superb attitude.  Cool techniques.  Where else in the world do you get this knock out scenery and the majestic snowy owl and an opportunity to work with David Hemmings? Great trip, great experience and great workshop leader.”

“My experience was exceptional.  The trip exceeded my expectations in all areas. I hoped to get in a position to see owls and couldn’t possibly have been happier. Actually the only thing that would have made the trip more exceptional would have been to have better light for photography and to find a great gray owl. Both of these conditions were completely outside the control of NPA.It was abundantly clear that David invested significant time and effort prior to the arrival of the group in scouting the area around Quebec and Ontario. He knew exactly where to go to find every species of owl. His knowledge and efforts were very much appreciated by the entire group. My primary objective was just getting in a position to photograph owls and was not expecting much in the way of photographic instruction. I was very pleasantly surprised and was very happy with the instruction. Prior to the trip I had a love/hate relationship with auto focus as it applies to photographing birds in flight. I’ve struggled with this for years. While I have a lot more to learn, and need to work at honing my skills, the trip with NPA helped me tremendously in being able to photograph birds in flight.”

Dear Glenn, Theresa and I would like to thank you for an excellent workshop in Victoria.  Overall, the experience far exceeded our expectations.  Your knowledge of the individual species and local habitat put us in the right place with the right light.  Your attention to detail ensured we were getting the best opportunity for shooting.  Your excellent photographic skills allowed you to make individual suggestions that were quite helpful in the field.

What a terrific opportunity for photography and to learn from a great guy. Great value.  I will definitely be back! Thank you Glenn!

Glen F. – 2010

Glenn and David are exceptional, hard-working photographers and always put their client's needs first. Locations are well researched and - if the circumstances aren't ideal - they always make the best out of it. I would certainly come back for another tour.

" My workshop with Nature's Photo Adventures was exceptional! You delivered on all of the target species mentioned on your website. Thanks again for helping me carry my gear over the slippery rocks."

"Glenn's teaching style is easy and relaxed with great verbal skills and techniques. What surprised me most about Glenn's Photoshop classes was that I'm having fun learning computer skills, that I look forward to our next lesson and that Glenn can take the mystery out of all this technical jargon...I am very fortunate that I was introduced to Glenn!

Lydia D., Victoria - 2009

"I highly recommend Glenn’s Photoshop classes to anyone wanting to improve their Photoshop skills and improve their picture taking abilities.  Glenn’s teaching style is simple and effective.  He is able to quickly assess ones level and start giving effective instruction immediately.  He freely gives his expertise as a photographer to his students."

"I attended a workshop with Nature's Photo Adventures this summer and I have to say that it was excellent in every aspect. The instruction was professional and I learned a TON of things about photographing birds. They went out of their way to make sure that I understood all of my camera operations and how to get the proper exposure for all types of shooting conditions. I will definitely be attending other workshops and highly recommend NPA to anyone who wants to take their photography to the next level!"

"I have had the pleasure of working with David Hemmings and Nature's Photo Adventures for David's one on one house call workshop. David came to my location and we went to shoot ducks at my favorite pond. After one day with David I was amazed at the shots I was able to achieve! I cannot recommend NPA highly enough. David even photographed me shooting the ducks and emailed me a framed picture of it! Talk about a nice touch!"

" I participated in a workshop with Nature's Photo Adventures this past July. I have to say that it was wonderful! David took the time to understand my questions and was always able to show me the right way to get the shot I was after. He opened my eyes to a world of photographic opportunities that I never knew existed before. I would HIGHLY recommend David and Nature's Photo Adventures to anyone who wants to learn about nature photography and be treated like a vip!"

" I thought I knew how to use my camera and take good pictures. That may have been true. However, after taking a one day "house call" workshop with David I now know way more than I did before and I can't wait to put my new found knowledge to work in the field. Thanks so much David!"
